You are about to use a product based on the Ethora engine, Dappros Platform and Ethereum technologies. Our platform provides technology for ecosystems built on the principles of openness, transparency and decentralization. By design, certain information such as user profiles, rankings, and the transactions of digital assets will be available to the whole ecosystem or to the public. You should not attempt to use this product for secure or emergency communications. You should not share information or content here that you may not be comfortable or authorized to share with the public.

Please carefully read our Privacy Policy below and our Terms of Service, and make sure you agree with them before proceeding to use this product.

Who we are

Dappros Ltd, trading as Ethora (developers and providers of the technology), referred to as “Ethora”, is responsible for the development, maintenance and data processing. You agree to our Terms of Service (“Terms”) by installing or using our apps, services, or website (together, “Services”).

Information you provide

Account Information. You share with us your name, profile picture and your e-mail when you create an Ethora account. You may optionally add other information to your account.

Messages. Your message history is stored on your own devices. Additionally, messages history is stored on the servers maintained by Ethora and our partners. This information is not shared by Ethora with any third parties unless required by law. Ethora does not guarantee certain storage policy for your messages on the servers. Ethora may delete server-side information from time to time using automated maintenance software or manually.

Additional technical information is stored on our servers, including randomly generated authentication tokens, keys, push tokens, and other material that is necessary to provide the Services. Ethora limits this additional technical information to the minimum required to operate the Services.

Contacts. Ethora can optionally discover which contacts in your address book are Ethora users, using a service designed to protect the privacy of your contacts. Information from the contacts on your device may be cryptographically hashed and transmitted to the server in order to determine which of your contacts are registered.

User Support. If you contact Ethora User Support, any personal data you may share with us is kept only for the purposes of researching the issue and contacting you about your case.

Managing your information. You can manage your personal information in Ethora’s application menu accessible via a three vertical dots menu in the top right. For example, you can update your profile information, add or remove e-mail addresses etc.

Information we may share

Third Parties. We work with third parties to provide some of our Services. For example, our Third-Party Providers may send a verification code to your phone number when you register for our Services. These providers are bound by their Privacy Policies to safeguard that information. If you use other Third-Party Services like YouTube, Giphy, Gyazo, Spotify, Reddit, Evernote, Dropbox etc. in connection with our Services, their Terms and Privacy Policies govern your use of those services.

Other instances where Ethora may need to share your data

• To meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
• To enforce applicable Terms, including investigation of potential violations.
• To detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
• To protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Ethora, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.

Deleting your data. Right to erasure. Immutable ledger

According to our policy you may request deletion of your data from our centralized servers. Under centralized servers we mean our application and API layer services that are hosted centrally and may store your data in databases. You should be aware that some copies or traces of your data may remain in decetralized records (“immutable ledger”) or in the storages of 3rd parties such as other users and entities that participate in our ecosystem.

Decentralized records or “immutable ledger”. Due to immutable nature of distributed ledger technology, network nodes operated by the participants of our ecosystem may still retain data such as historical transactions generated by your account, or transactions generated by other users in relation to your account. Normally this data would not include your personally identifiable information such as name, e-mail etc. However, in case a 3rd party creates their own record matching your decentralized identity (such as ETH address or wallet address) with your personal information such as your name, they may retain a capability to retrieve your historical transactions from the system even after you have deleted your account and data. This is due to the immutable and open nature of distributed ledger technology that are being used. Deleting such historical transaction data from the immutable ledger is not possible. Please consider this carefully and do not proceed with using our services if you do not accept this.

Deleting your data yourself. Go to the application menu, choose “Privacy and Data”. Navigate to “Manage Data” tab. Click “Delete my account” and follow the instructions. Please note this will delete your account and other account-related data stored at our centralized servers which means you will not be able to use our services after you perform this action, unless you create a new account and fill it with new data.

Requesting data deletion over e-mail. Please e-mail us at [email protected] specifying your account details such your name and e-mail. We will verify your identity and proceed with deleting your data within 14 working days.

Updates

We will update this privacy policy as needed so that it is current, accurate, and as clear as possible. Your continued use of our Services confirms your acceptance of our updated Privacy Policy.
